***NEW 11/22/2010*** – Bargain Box #23 – Kids Fiction

A big box (18″x12″x10″ approx) of used hardcover and paperback kids’ fiction books (even a few board books) available for a $5 donation to The Friends of the Edison Public Library. There are about 60 books in this collection. Many of them are ex-library books, but not all. They also cover different ages, from toddler to pre-teen. Some examples include Nate the Great and the Phony Clue by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat, Wild Pitch by Matt Christopher, Ishkabibble by Dorothy Crayder, Robinson Crusoe For Pleasure Reading – Retold from Daniel Defoe by Edward Dolch, Marguerite Dolch & Beulah F. Jackson, Henry’s Important Date by Robert Quackenbush, Riddle Soup by Valiska Gregory, and A Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton Porter.

***NEW*** 11/21/2010 – Complete Set (16 Vols): Popular Mechanics Do-It-Yourself Encyclopedia(1968)

Complete set (16 Volumes) of Popular Mechanics Do-It-Yourself Encyclopedia, published by The Hearst Corporation available for a $20 donation to The Friends of the Edison Public Library. These are in good condition, with no dustjackets and with minor shelf wear on the edges of some volumes. The set was published in 1968, but a lot of the information is still valid, or good for historical purposes. The articles are fascinating!  Here’s a description from inside the volumes:

Some examples include Night of the Blackbird by Heather Graham, Taltos by Anne Rice, Cold Harbour by Jack Higgins, Killshot by Elmore Leonard, Above Suspicion by Lynda La Plante, Pop Goes The Weasel by James Patterson, and Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell. Most of the books are in great condition – some look nearly new!

A big box (15″x10″x10″ approx) of used hardcover and paperback mixed non-fiction books available for a $5 donation to The Friends of the Edison Public Library.  There are about 30 books in this collection which spans quite a few non-fiction genres, including politics, biography and history. Complete set (16 Volumes) of The Young Children’s Ecyclopedia, published by Encyclopaedia Brittanica available for a $30 $25 donation to The Friends of the Edison Public Library. These are in good condition, with a few bumps to the covers in some volumes. The set was published in 1970, but a lot of the information is still valid, or good for historical purposes.
