The Friends of the Edison Public Library, the Metuchen-Edison Historical Society and Clara Barton Library Supporters will jointly present a program about Clara Barton history on “Clara Barton Local History Day” on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Clara Barton Branch Library at 141 Hoover Avenue from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. The library, normally closed on Saturdays in the summer, will be open for this special event.

Edison Papers at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, will present insights into Thomas Alva Edison’s life and work at his Menlo Park laboratory.
